I'm Not Faceless

I’m not faceless. I just know how to fuck.
You’re the facelift. We’re just shit out of luck.
I’m not wasted. I’m just passing the buck.

You’re on. You’re wasted. I’m on fire. With scissors on the cuff.
You’re wasted. I’m on fire.
I’m trying to get into your head. Ten shots. Looks like steak and we’re all being overfed, but you’re fucking on. You’re wasted. I’m on fire. You’re on. Wasted. On fire.
I’m trying to get it through your head. We’re all dead.
Oh, you’re on. You’ve tasted the brushfire. Shooting off the cuff. You’ve tasted the brushfire.
I’m trying to get into your head. Ten shots. Looks like steak and we’re all being overfed. Oh, but me? I’m on. I’m wasted. You’re on fire. I’m on. I’ve tasted the brushfire.
Oh, girl. We split, but you know me. You know me. Well, fuck. I’m a god. And everything that we used to think is safe somewhere in an unused heart. I’m running half of a faceless army. I’m everything that you need. So let’s party for three. Oh, ‘cause you? Well, you’re fucking on. Wasted. On fire.

This Isn't Home

Funny how the sun suddenly illuminates everything. I’m not the thinker I once thought myself to be. More scared to death of it. What a fucking disappointment. The constant of constants. Now I’m gonna drag you down that same dirt road. Luke warm beer in the console. You better pray you make it back okay. ‘Cause for me? I’ve been stuck here for ages and this isn’t home.
I made you. Made you a black cat that’s afraid to cross my path. I keep painting my reflection just to make something permanent of it and I think “yes! Yes! That’s me!” And then I finally get the joke. A little too late for my sake anyway. And I’ve been saving this for an exit play. This isn’t home.
But, I’m your dog.
I guess we’re down for the count or passed out anyway. And I can’t imagine what difference it makes if we just draw it out a little while. Just a little while. Just a little while. But, I’ll keep dragging you down that same dirt road. Same luke warm beer keeping us company in the console. Well this is me. This isn’t home.
But, I’m your dog.

Meet Me At Oxbow

We know you’re not that good under pressure. To be honest, we all thought you’d fail. We’ll all become your failure. Your private party in vain.
You are the god that changes the weather. To be fair no one expected the hail. And all your background in vain. You couldn’t wash it away.
We all gathered around to hear what you would say. “You’re just as good as the last one.” We couldn’t wash it away.
You know I’m not that good under pressure. To be honest, you all thought I would fail. You’ll all become my failure. My private party attained.
I am the god that changes the measure. To be fair, no one expected the same. And all my background in vain. I couldn’t wash it away.
Good call. God damn.

If I sell it, there’s no sound. We’re not brothers, there’s no crowd.
If I sell it, there’s no ground. Just another scratched off and let down.
I know you’re waiting on the dawn in an ambulance.
Look how good you are. You really made something of it.
We all let you go. Yeah, that’s right. We all know.
I am the death of the body. The marker of change. You are the wife of the party to infinite slaves. And now we wait for the blood to happen. We take everything. Make no mistake. You are the tracks. We are the train.
We thought the summer would be early and endless. And we were all fine with it. And now the permanent gray seems senseless and undefined or nullified or something like that. We all began to dawn our biggest black hats. We grabbed at fans to be done with it. We grabbed our hands just for the fun of it. And now we suffer it.

Last On The Steak Knife
03:17
|

You’re right. Yeah, I said it. You always knew I’d be the last on the steak knife.
Side rethreaded. I never thought you’d be fostering shit kids.
You’re on a brand new crime. Yeah, right. A brand new white line. My god.
I’m on my grind. You’re on your cross. A ghost ship in the land we though we’d lost. Damn.
Last flight redirected. You knew we’d cover it first that night.
Fight dissected. We’re the women on opening night.
You’re on a brand new crime. Yeah, right. A pristine white line. My god.
Last fight. Go get it. I’ll be the last on the steak knife. Last fight. Forget it.
